CoalMine Music, Inc.

CoalMine Music invites you to dig deep into a well-organized combination of sound and artistry that will deliver what is expected of any production company, outstanding music!

Founded by Terri “Grant Parks” Coleman and Terron “Rive 1” Coleman in 2000; two B Boys with entrepreneur spirits. Producer Grant Parks’ musical and production resume shows a life-long commitment to the arts. Our production capabilities are not limited to one genre of sound or category of music. Educated in the theory of musical and studio engineering, the CoalMine sound is guaranteed to set an industry standard with raw innovative techniques.

CoalMine Music’s weekly event, Windy City Flavor, showcased local talent as well as national artists from 2006 thru 2008. The event gained national attention as being one of the premiere industry events to attend in Chicago. Windy City Flavor connected all sides of the city and focused on the importance of industry networking. Attendees included DJs, media, artists (major & independent), producers, labels, etc.

2006, CoalMine Music expanded and officially established the CoalMine Music Management Division, headed by Joanne Coleman. Shaping the careers of major and independent artists, as well as project management, she was also part of the Chicago division of the Stop the Violence Movement with Hip Hop Legend KRS One.

CoalMine Music is definitely on the rise and you will be hearing more in the years to come!!

Joanne Coleman

Joanne Coleman has played a major force in the music industry for the past 9 years, shaping the careers of independent artists and organizing and hosting urban industry networking events.

Joanne has utilized her resources, talent, ingenuity and people skills to become an invaluable asset to the music business. Working with artists such as Sadat X of Brand Nubian, Da BeatMinerz DJs, AG of Diggin in the Crates, Spoken Word Artist Malik Yusef, Pugs Atomz, just to name a few. She was also part of the Chicago division of the Stop the Violence Movement, spearheaded by legendary hip-hop icon KRS One.

Joanne also handles multiple tasks at the legendary Fat Beats Records label in New York. Currently, Joanne spends her time managing independent artists, project management and the day to day operations of CoalMine Music.

Terron Coleman

Terron Coleman has made his mark in Chicago’s Urban Entertainment Industry over the past 8 years with his innovative marketing and promotion ideas that have landed some of the region’s best talent on his roster. He also organized and hosted one of Chicago’s weekly industry networking events and with his promotion skills, got the event noticed outside of Chicago.

Coleman also assists independent artists with their budget planning for promotion – including: merchandise and distribution, release parties, in-stores and street teams.

Currently, Terron spends his time managing the day-to-day operations of Grant Parks Productions.
